Registered by Citroën Measham on 30th March 2000 as a pre-registered vehicle to help meet a sales target, it was purchased just two weeks later by its first private owner, Mrs Dowens, who cherished the car for an incredible 22 years. Following her passing a few years ago, it was inherited by a family member who held onto it for sentimental reasons before eventually deciding it deserved a new home.

We were delighted to acquire the car and have carried out a sympathetic refresh, ensuring it remains as original and authentic as possible while bringing it mechanically and cosmetically up to the standard it deserves.

Mechanically, it has been thoroughly inspected by a specialist and has received:

* New front discs and pads

Underneath, the car has been ice blasted, revealing an incredibly clean, factory-original underside with not a trace of corrosion. The bodywork has also undergone paint correction before being professionally ceramic coated, leaving it looking every bit as impressive as its remarkable mileage suggests.

The original alloy wheels have been fully refurbished and are now fitted with a brand-new set of Kumho tyres.

On the road, it is exactly what you’d hope a genuine 25,000-mile Saxo VTR would be. It drives beautifully, tracks arrow straight, feels wonderfully tight, and is a genuine reminder of why these little hot hatches became such icons.
