Our Type R presents beautifully, as a totally unmodified and very well-loved example of possibly one of the best cars we’ve ever driven here at Driving Heroes. These FK2’s are the perfect blend of refinement but also a truly serious drivers’ car, but while also remaining practical for everyday use!

The engine is a classic, and the gearbox is one of the nicest you’ll ever have the pleasure of click-clacking your way through.

Boasting a Full Honda Service History, in the latest service the car benefitted from new Gearbox Oil as well as a Fuel Filter change, Air Con re-gas and new Rear Brake Pads. It flew through our independent mechanical inspection, which is no surprise.

We are utterly blown away by these Type R’s, which explains the cult following. The turbo VTEC engine feels like it should’ve always been turbocharged yet experiences very little to no lag.

Cosmetically, our Civic is superb – the paint & bodywork is near-perfect, the interior presents beautifully with no signs of any pets, smoke or misuse. All four wheels are unmarked and fitted with Pirelli P-Zero tyres at the front and Michelins at the rear. It’s clearly been a “pride and joy” its whole life.

We’re not sure how many examples are left like this, many have been modified – so get yourself a wonderful example of a sure fire future classic hot hatch!
