A rare and increasingly respected hot hatch from the golden era of Peugeot Sport, this 206 GTi 180 represents a fantastic opportunity to own a genuinely well cared-for example of one of the most underrated performance cars of the 2000s.

With just one previous owner from new and only 66,000 miles, this car has clearly lived a cherished life and is accompanied by an exceptional service history, outlined below.

As with all of our enthusiast cars, we wanted this GTi 180 to be properly sorted before sale. The car was therefore entrusted to the Peugeot specialists at Pug1Off, where it received a cambelt, water pump and major service, along with a number of additional maintenance items. The resulting invoice totals approximately £2,000, giving excellent peace of mind to the next owner.

Mechanically, the car is now in excellent health and ready to be enjoyed immediately. It has also been fitted with a stainless steel exhaust system that retains the correct OEM appearance while providing a tasteful, sporty note without being intrusive.

Further recent work includes:

• Four refurbished alloy wheels
• Four new Kumho tyres
• Correct wheel balancing

The bodywork presents very well for its age and is notably free from corrosion both above and underneath. As you would expect from a 23-year-old car, there are a few minor age-related marks, but nothing that detracts from the overall appearance.

Inside, the cabin is clean, smoke-free and pet-free. The only notable point is the typical light wear to the driver’s seat fabric, a well-known characteristic of Peugeots from this era.

On the road, this GTi 180 drives exactly as a good example should. The engine pulls strongly through all gears, revs eagerly and delivers the characteristic surge that made these cars so highly regarded by enthusiasts. There are no knocks, rattles or unwanted mechanical issues, and the car feels tight, responsive and engaging.

The 206 GTi 180 is becoming increasingly difficult to find in honest, unmodified condition. Long overshadowed by other hot hatches of the period, it is now gaining the recognition it has always deserved among enthusiasts who appreciate lightweight handling, sharp steering and Peugeot Sport character.
