Renault Clio 200

If you’ve never had a go in a RenaultSport Clio 200, you don’t know what you’re missing out on – bags and bags of character, performance and daily usability. We love these at Driving Heroes for that reason, it’s a wonderful all-rounder that is equally at home on the commute as it is on track.

This particular French Racing Blue example comes with the racy factory-fit ‘Yellow Dot’ Recaros, Cup Spoiler and Black 17” Speedline wheels, along with a couple of tasteful modifications – a Cobra exhaust system and wheel spacers.

The wheels are in unmarked condition and wearing a matching set of Uniroyal Rainsport 5’s with plenty of tread all around. The body work is in excellent condition with only a couple of minor age-related marks, and the interior is in superb condition with the drivers’ seat bolster showing only minor wear. If you didn’t know better, you’d think this little rocket has done half the mileage given the way it looks, and the way it drives.

From behind the wheel this Clio 200 is equally impressive – no knocks or rattles, the unique bark from that Cobra exhaust will have you addicted in no time at all. The engine pulls extremely well, the gearbox works nicely with no crunching and the car handles like a dream – exactly as it should. Hats off to the former keepers who have all done a superb job in maintaining this car to an extremely high level.

The car has two keys, a complete set of original owner’s manuals and a wad of invoices documenting regular maintenance, underlining the love that’s been poured into this Clio over the years.

In the handbook you’ll find several service stamps at regular intervals, most recently in October 2024. The all-important belt, water pump and dephaser were all replaced by well-known specialist Rentech at 70,000 miles.
