Renault Laguna 2.0 16v Executive

We are excited to offer for sale a car that is surely one of a kind now – a Renault Laguna 2.0 16v Executive with just one owner from new, and 16,600 miles on the clock. Supplied new by Tates Renault of Brighton on 30^th April 1999, dry storage throughout its life means this Laguna is remarkably in nearly-new condition.

Ordered new by the MD of a Brighton-based company, our Laguna is finished in Monaco Blue with Grey Leather interior and is truly in time-warp condition, as the first owner had to cease driving but didn’t want to part with it. It remained stored in his garage at home alongside a Mercedes Benz until 2025 when we were contacted and asked if we’d like to buy the car and return it to its former glory – we gladly accepted.

Our recommissioning includes a full service with all filters, timing belt, water pump, spark plugs, brake fluid by local Renault expert Floyd Hollinshead of Diablo Motorsport followed by a full dry-ice cleaning and rust proofing treatment to the underside, and paint correction with ceramic coating on top. Additionally, a new starter motor and four new Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres mean our Laguna is ready to either join a collection or return to daily-driver duties for those of us who know that they simply don’t make them like they used to!

Given the car spent so much time in storage, the history file is a little slim but still contains all the essential components – V5 Registration Document confirming one owner from new, Original Sales Invoice confirming specification and dealer-fit accessories, Dealer PDI Checklist stamped & signed, previous MOTs and even the original lease agreement.

We’ve done some miles in our Laguna since recommissioning – it drives beautifully. So much so, it still feels like a new car – everything is solid, no knocks or rattles and thanks to our mechanical overhaul it goes and stops exactly as it should, it’s no wonder the first owner couldn’t bring himself to part with it.
