Renault Megane 265 Cup

For sale we have a rather pampered Megane 265 Cup, finished in the striking shade of Capsicum Red. Supplied new to Mr. M Jones in October 2013 by West’s Renault Kings Lynn, a retirement gift to himself as he turned 65 years of age, he cherished this Megane for a whole decade before making the decision to let someone else enjoy it.

The lucky buyer was devout Renaultsport enthusiast Mr. A Hackett, who also happens to be the father of our company director, Lloyd Hackett. So, this is one of, if not the cleanest Megane 265 Cup in the country – enthusiast owned, and fastidiously looked after since new.

Accompanying the car is a history file containing everything from the original bill of sale, through to the most recent servicing & MOT records. It’s all there, even a copy of the previous V5C in the original owners’ name.

Only ever enjoyed as a road car, and having never been on track, the car is in superb condition inside and out. Fur unmarked wheels wear Michelin tyres in very good condition ad with plenty of remaining tread. The cambelt was replaced in 2023, and a service done at the same time. Since then 1500 miles is all that has been covered, but a fresh service will be completed prior to sale.

As you’d expect, from behind the wheel it drives absolutely beautifully, with no knocks or rattles, and arrow straight. The engine and gearbox are perfect, so much so that the car still feels as good as these did when they were new.

We really hope the next person to own this car, loves and cherishes it as much as those that have gone before. This Megane would look right at home as part of a wider collection, or as a top-notch daily driver.
