We are pleased to offer for a sale what must be a rare car nowadays – an original, and unmolested Mk5 VW Golf GTI. Finished in iconic Tornado Red with grey leather interior, and boasting a full service history ,with all but one of those services undertaken by VW main dealers – listed below.

Supplied new to Mr R Mitchell by Specialist Cars of Aberdeen on 20^th March 2008, our lovely Golf GTI has passed through the hands of just three owners in total, all of whom have gone to significant effort to preserve this modern classic.

Inside and out, it’s plain to see this Golf has been loved, the Tornado Red paintwork is in overall fine condition, excellent for a car of this age and mileage. Inside the cabin is near immaculate with the leather upholstery having aged remarkably well. It’s even clean underneath, which you can see for yourself in a video on our social media.

As previously mentioned, there are no modifications to speak of, this car pleasingly still on its original (recently refurbished) ‘Monza’ wheels, with Michelin tyres at the front and Continental at the rear, all of which are nearly-new. Additionally, the original CD player head unit remains, too.

From the drivers’ seat you’ll experience an engine that runs sweetly, pulls through all gears beautifully, drives straight and true thanks to recent tracking & balancing, brakes in a straight line, and so on – the experience feels like that of driving a 3 year old car – no squeaks or rattles, everything feeling solid & tight.

If you had to buy one car to last you the rest of your life, a Golf GTI would probably be a pretty strong candidate. Reliable, fast, practical, handsome, comfortable, sporty, and so on – they really are brilliant all-rounders and it’s easy to understand why they are such a popular car. The Mk5 was a huge hit when new, and examples this good are now hard to find.
